Designed, and implemented SenseAgent Cloud Solution to provide enterprise IoT platform for managing in house designed and developed hardware sensors for commercial buildings. Designed and developed SenseAgent Cloud Application to provide server side backend and front end user interface to visualise data from and manage remote gateways and sensors installed in commercial buildings. Primarily implemented using PHP with the Symfony framework and HTML/JS front end. Implemented components of C++ middleware including real time tracking services, persistence, caching, and authentication/authorisation. Applied changes to middleware as required to align with changes upstream and downstream.Designed and maintained software release management and testing processes across firmware, middleware, and cloud software products to ensure consistent quality of software releases.Designed and deployed cloud architecture which is a highly available and scalable solution which is cloud agnostic. Working one night a week at the QUT IT Helpdesk assisting staff and students with technical and non-technical queries in person and over the phone.

Lead the design, development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise systems to support the core functions of the department of Learning Environments and Technology Services.QUT Assignment Minder System (AM) - Designed, developed and implemented in only three months AM tracks the submission of 300,000+ assignments a year from point of submission to marker, and back to the student. The system uses barcodes to track assignments to ensure accurate information is available to track each step in the process, who handled it, and when it was handled. The development of this system enabled the implementation of other unique solutions such as a self submission box that allows students to submit assignments themselves saving staff hours of labour. Another key feature was the addition of online submission which accepts submissions after hours and prints them using students printing quota with a unique barcode, stapled and ready for delivery to marker.Since its implementation the Assignment Minder System has had keen interest from other universities and its implementation is underway  at the University of Auckland.LETS Reporting Service - By collating key data from across the university this system provides critical reporting in realtime to aid LETS management staff in making strategic decisions. Since its implementation the system has become widely used across other areas of QUT for monthly, and quarterly reporting.

Provided phone, email, and in person technical support to QUT's staff and students covering the huge range of software, and hardware used by QUT staff and students.Working as part of a large team in a leadership role I was involved in recruiting, training, and responding to service outages including liaising with services owners and notifying QUT staff students.I also worked on projects to improve processes and the IT Helpdesks service quality such as the QUT IT Helpdesk website which includes integration into key services such as support request tracking, and twitter to provide timely updates to QUT staff and students.

Seconded to Network Applications to identify and resolve issues with user accounts across QUT's various computer account management systems including LDAP, Active Directory, Enterprise Single Sign-On Service (ESOE), and Oracle databases.Additionally commissioned and decommissioned host records for QUT servers in QUT's Oracle based integration service.

Designed, and implemented cloud based RedEye Drawing Management Solution to solve complex drawing management and compliance issues in the mining and resources industry.Designed technical solutions based on business problems presented by founders and key industry stakeholders. Implemented server side primarily in PHP using symfony framework, with HTML/Javascript front end UI. C++ also used for complex computation image analysis for extracting data from drawings. Database design and administration using MySQL to support solutions.Deployed as a highly scalably and redundant solution using Amazon Web Services.Project management - managed resources and scheduled development activities to support business goals, client needs, and technical improvements. Lead and built technical team around the product to support business growth. Provided technical sales support - leading the technical component of sales pitches to both clients and investors. Assisted in the migration of highly customized teaching content from QUT's in house developed learning management system to Blackboard system. This included liaising with key stakeholders to ensure content was migrated successfully.
