About Chris Jarvis

Chris Jarvis is a co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Realized Worth, a consulting firm focused on the design and implementation of transformative employee volunteering and giving initiatives. His work with organizations of all sizes from around the world is helping mobilize employees to make meaningful contributions in communities where they live and work. In 2015, Chris and his partner, Angela Parker, launched the RW Institute (RWI), a think tank focused on advancing the practice and theory of corporate citizenship. RWI is a collective of diverse stakeholders worldwide, committed to bringing evidence-based approaches to employee engagement in giving and volunteering using neuroscience, social sciences, transformative learning theory, and other related academic disciplines.Widely known for his thought leadership in employee volunteering, workplace giving, and corporate social responsibility, in 2011, the United Nations Office of Partnerships invited Chris to design and launch the first private sector-led initiative to achieve the post-millennial Sustainable Development Goals through corporate volunteering. The IMPACT2030 initiative is the only business-led effort to unite companies in their corporate volunteering efforts to address the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. In 2021, the RW Institute launched Nudge the Good. The initiative aims to formally apply Behavioral Science insights to the practice of employee volunteering and giving. The goal is to model a scientific approach for breakthrough results in corporate citizenship that can be shared and duplicated by organizations in any region or context. The goal is to help practitioners be more successful – whether they are clients, engaged formally or not. Chris believes the work these men and women do as part of corporate citizenship is critical to addressing the huge social and environmental issues facing our global society.

We create outstanding and enjoyable Employee Volunteer Programs for businesses interested in leveraging their CSR programs and differentiating their corporate culture.A couple testimonials from a recent speaking engagement;"I've just recently joined the CVNY board and am really enjoying our work with New York's leading companies with employee engagement programs. I can't say enough to recommend the presentation that Chris Jarvis gave to our members this week.  Marketing and communications are part of my job responsibilities, in addition to corporate philanthropy.  So whenever we attend CECP, Boston College, the National Conference on Volunteering & Service and other conferences, I always register for the sessions on social media.  Chris was, hands down, the best presenter on this topic I've ever seen.  He was entertaining, engaging, and was the most informed on current trends.  He also somehow managed to meet the spectrum of needs of the group, from the most unfamiliar with social media beginners to the plugged-in and advanced." Kelly Fisher, Assistant Manager, Philanthropy, T   O   Y   O   T   A"Chris Jarvis gives an engaging and inspiring presentation - even via webex and from the opposite side of the globe. The attendees of our 2011 Community Investment Forum in Hong Kong gave overwhelming feedback saying the presentation far exceeded their expectations. While listening, attendees took notes furiously. By the end of the day, they had connected so well with Chris' "Tourist, Traveler, Guide" analogy of employee volunteering that they were using the terms themselves in discussions. I cannot express strongly enough how pleased I am that we chose Chris to present for us - any chance to work with him in the future will be a welcome opportunity." - Robin Bishop, Chief Operating Officer, Community Business, Hong Kong
