I am a partner of Banks Cannell LLP which Tracy Cannell and I set up in 2011. We offer consultancy, interim support and advice to the NHS, Government departments, local authorities, and commercial, charitable and social enterprise organisations in the health and social care sector. I am a non-executive director (NED) of Efficiency North Holdings Ltd a social enterprise in Sheffield providing procurement, apprenticeship training, land development and climate advice to the social housing sector. I am a NED of Breathe Arts Health Research CIC, a social enterprise that provides art as therapy with robust research to demonstrate its impact. Tracy and I are NEDs in Gateway Primary Care CIC, a social enterprise providing general practice services to communities in Rotherham. I have been a NED or Trustee on a number of other Boards over the last 20 years. I am also a business mentor. Until 31st March 2023 Tracy and I were the joint CEOs of Tower Hamlets GP Care Group CIC, a GP Federation in London that employs 850 people. We grew the business from £300k in 2015/2016 to £40m in 2022/23. I was also a member of the Board of Tower Hamlets Together, the integrated care system for the borough, and on the Tower Hamlets Health and Well-being Board.I qualified as a Chartered Accountant, I have a Masters Degree in Business Process Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Leadership. I play the saxophone badly, love gardening, listen to music constantly, and worry about the climate and our legacy to future generations.
