Improve existing domain and underlying network infrastructures on a daily basis to ease administration tasks and increase network availability. This was done by redesigning the network architecture, updating older, outdated equipment, performing the required configuration changes and providing updated documentation of these changes. This resulted in a better operating, more fluid environment with less downtime, as well as more efficient use of resources. • Appointed as a Department of Defense Information Assurance agent since February 2007. Completing Information assurance tasks ranging from the training of federal government employees on security risks inherent to the network, to playing part in investigations dealing with information assurance violations. • Helped to establish a multi-domain training network to facilitate the testing of new programs and methods by coordinating with network engineers to install and configure the network architecture according to plans resulting in a fully functioning and multi-segmented network with five individual domains under two separate active directory forests with the potential to grow and change to suit almost any training requirement. • Administered a deployed enterprise network while in Iraq to ensure the availability of network resources by managing and training eight federal government employees. As a direct result of these actions, the network had maximum uptime in spite of the harsh desert environments’ effects on the computers and networking equipment.
