About Chris Cundy
I am a research scientist at FAR AI, investigating how we can mitigate the risks of catastrophic harm from AI systems.Previously, I completed a PhD Stanford University, advised by Stefano Ermon. I focused on developing technologies that ensure Artificially Intelligent (AI) systems robustly and efficiently carry out the tasks that we intend, with benefits widely and fairly distributed to all. I previously studied physics at Cambridge University. After graduating with a first, I completed (with distinction) a Master's in Computer Science, also at Cambridge. I focused on AI, completing a dissertation with Carl Rasmussen investigating variational approaches to using Gaussian Process State-Space models for dynamical system identification.
