I'm an award-winning content creator based in Toronto, and effective partnership and collaboration are my specialty. My journey started with the founding of my now acclaimed travel website, travelingmitch, a site which has won numerous awards including, most recently, the Society of American Travel Writer's prestigious Lowell Thomas Award. I am also the Cofounder of Ultimate Ontario and We Explore Canada, both of which are major players in the Canadian media landscape, and have no shortage of awards attached to them. Community and leadership are at the forefront of what I do. I'm the Cofounder of the Toronto Blogger Collective, a community of some 700 creators based in my hometown, as well as being the Cofounder of This Week in Blogging, a weekly newsletters for bloggers and creators that now has over 200 editions to its name, while becoming a household name in the industry. I'm currently the North American Director for the TBEX Conference as well, further exemplifying my desire to connect and propel others on my occupational journey. With my content, in general, I aim to dive beneath the surface and bring readers along for journey, making it more about empowering my readers than simply showcasing my own adventures. I continue to write freelance upon request, and have written for almost all of the major travel publications at one time or another. I am also the proud author of "A Local Travel Writer's Guide to Toronto" as well as my recent kids book "Travel the World Around You." As you may have gathered, I'm an ambitious individual, always looking for an opportunity to grow, and to subsequently share that growth with others, and help them on their path. My partner Briana and I had the supreme pleasure of being the Writers-in-Residence for the province of Newfoundland & Labrador in 2023, and in 2024 I was named on The Peak's class of Emerging Leaders in the Canadian media landscape.
