About Chris Mock
I wrote, shot and edited my first film at the Gulf Islands Film and Television School in 1999 and since then I've never stopped. My career has taken me from being a 21 year old grip on major motion pictures to shooting documentaries in the jungles of West Africa. Directing now-famous actors on a Toronto sound stage to co-producing a documentary TV series in northern India. I bring 16 years of truly well-rounded experience in production, storytelling and creative problem solving to every project. I hold a degree in film production and film studies from Ryerson University and have produced television programs on two continents. I have directed many short scripted films and several documentary films some of which have been seen on Canadian broadcast television and in festivals around the world.I currently operate Cormorant Pictures which is a provider of comprehensive creative and video production services. We make promotional videos, viral web spots, training videos, and video profiles for companies and organizations including Nissan, Sobeys, The Sierra Club, Morguard and The World Bank Institute as well as many government and local small business clients.A film set is my happy place!
