Working across the Adults, Public Health and Communities Directorate I handled a full range of internal and external comms issues, including campaign planning and execution, social media, web, and intranet. My particular focus was on handling communications for the transformation teams which ran multiple projects to introduce complex and sometimes difficult process change across the council. These needed to be persuasively explained to stake-holders. I work directly with officers at Director/Assistant Director level and with the elected cabinet members. Latterly I also headed comms for the digital transformation project that included the 'digital customer' CRM initiative and new website usability. An initial 6 month fixed term contract that was extended twice.

Bought in to support the organisation's comms teams as it returned to the council. This was a sensitive time and staff, residents and other external stakeholders needed to be kept informed. The role included a good deal of external transformation comms and Internal and external communications. I worked on everything from website, intranet, social media and Yammer updates to the organisation of in-person and hybrid events and press relations.

Clients include working with a group of East London GP practices, helping their practices go (more) digital. Sharepoint intranet, Teams, workflows, training and public-facing website content. Interesting stuff. Also helping a public body migrate its content into a new Sharepoint Online intranet.
