Primarily this role managed the banking relationships, the relationship with Bin sponsors (Card Issuers), card settlements, general corporate accounting, and operational finance.Responsibilities included group accounts consolidation, all corporate and operational reconciliations, scheme currency/product implementations, budgeting, group treasury, forecasting as well as support M&A activity.

The Financial Operations function looks after the core solution offerings to operate our applications. The function is responsible to safeguard client monies, manage the risk associated with card payments, cost and revenue reconciliations, customer financial reports, process improvement and automation, issuer fund management, product and customer profitibility analysis, development and updating of pricing models, new deal appraisal, forecasting, and manage variances against budget.

Key responsibilities:• Setup reconciliation modules for new Issuer partnerships.• Collate direct costs database to aid in pricing models and direct cost invoices verification.• Assist operations team in complex reconciliations and aid automating processes.• Treasury management of all Issuer funding including value at risk daily position.• Accruals and prepayments for all operations’ direct cost billing

Key responsibilities:• Manage the accounts receivables and payables of our general ledger.• Generate payments for our suppliers, and issue invoices for our customers.• Accruals and prepayments for all corporate billing.• Maintain the fixed asset register and maintain an updated insurance cover• Developing and filing the Malta VAT report.• Support the operations team with a number of reconciliations, including settlements receivable (acquiring reconciliations), settlements payables (issuing reconciliations) and reconciling third party fees.• Creation of automated tools that resulted in financial and resource savings
