I am the Space Law Advisor and a Project Manager at the Secure World Foundation, an NGO working in the field of space policy and security. In my role as Space Law Advisor, I conduct research on the international and national legal framework applicable to space activities, including addressing growing concerns about space debris, space situational awareness, governance, and the prevention of conflict in outer space. I also organize national and international workshops dealing with international cooperation for space activities, space security, the long-term sustainability of space activities, using earth observation data for human and environmental security, and building capacity in space law and policy amongst the next generation of space industry professionals. I am also an active member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), and serve on the IISL’s Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Committee. Prior to joining the Secure World Foundation, I worked as an attorney in New York City in trial preparation, discovery, and litigation in the corporate and securities law field, involving trials and federal and state investigations into the financial services, insurance, and computer microchip industry. I have interned at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs in Vienna, Austria, NASA’s Office of International and Interagency Relations at NASA Headquarters in Washington D.C., and in the International Law department of the European Space Agency, in Paris, France.Specialties: international law, international space law, space policy, international relations, international cooperation, governance, project management, legal research and writing.
