www.PilotTrainingSystem.com is a virtual flight school that has been used to build the Madison College Professional Aeronautics Certificate (see https://www.wisconsinaviation.com/flight-school-rentals/professional-aeronautics-certificate). We also offer a weather simulator called ClimaDrive (www.ClimaDrive.com) that teaches student pilots to make safer weather-related decisions. The Federal Aviation Administration supported the development of the technology, and the NTSB uses it to investigate weather-related flight accidents.

Senior Scientist in the American Family Data Science Institute, designing advanced artificial intelligence and autonomous detection, classification and vehicle systems for the US Army. I have held appointments in Industrial & Systems Engineering and Engineering Physics and have taught manned and unmanned aviation courses, Human Factors & Ergonomics and Human Performance & Accident Causation. I built the University of Wisconsin's Aviation Research Laboratory, which is an FAA Center of Excellence, and I have consulted with UW Legal and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education, developing UW's Unmanned Aircraft Systems policy and management platform. I have also consulted with the UW Department of Surgery, developing a pre-surgical checklist to aid in surgical preparation, compliance and education to ultimately improve patient safety.
