Project Director and Practice Lead for COWI in the UK. I am responsible for managing the design and delivery of a range of infrastructure projects including bridges, sports stadia and other complex structures. As Practice Lead, I am also responsible for line management for the 70-strong team of bridge engineers and technicians in the London office.Much of my project work has been for contractors on major design and build schemes including detailed design of the deck for the Izmit Bay Bridge, a 1,550m suspension bridge across the Sea of Marmara; detailed design of cable systems for the proposed 3,300m suspension bridge across the Strait of Messina; and concept designs for the Fehmarnbaelt link between Denmark and Germany. However, I also have significant experience with stadia and special structures including the independent design check of the London 2012 Olympic Stadium as well as managing the delivery of erection engineering services for the new cable-supported roof added during the stadium's legacy transformation in 2013-2015.From 2018-2019 I was Head of Technical Development for Highways England's Technical Partner, Cascade JV with responsibility for leading the team developing the design of the Lower Thames Crossing.
