Lead new commercial opportunities in energy innovation (e.g. geothermal, nuclear, energy storage, and other technologies) to support energy objectives. Additional focus on commercial development of decarbonization transactions for value chain intervention in key sectors comprising Meta's value chain emissions footprint (e.g. steel, transportation, building efficiency, cement).

Source and structure partnership opportunities with Professional Services (SI) firms, Independent Software Vendors (ISV), Value Added Resellers (VARs) and other entities to drive revenue creation for GE Power Digital. Assess competitive landscape to identify viable alliance and acquisition targets.

Analyze and promote new business initiatives with a focus on distributed energy resources to help meet income growth targets for Duke Energy. Performed economic analysis and valuation for potential acquisitions in commercial building energy management, including distributed solar, storage, and load controls.Developed strategic plan for Duke Energy to invest $300M in distributed energy resources. Closed two acquisitions (REC Solar and Phoenix), established alliances for energy storage and microgrid project development, and set up a financing vehicle for C&I projects.

Originated and acquired renewables projects (wind, solar, and storage). Maintained and developed financial analysis models, recommended project siting, negotiated key contracts (e.g. PPA, interconnection agreements). Closed 40 MW of battery storage and helped build portfolio of 200+ MW of solar and 2500+ MW of wind.

Participated in a management rotational development program for 4 six-month rotations. Held rotations in the following areas of Duke Energy:1. DukeNet: Evaluated growth opportunities for wholesale fiber division of Duke Energy. Performed analysis of potential to spin-off or sell higher growth portion of the business and developed financial model for valuation of cell backhaul growth.2. Corporate Audit Services: Participated in audits to improve operational efficiency and compliance with corporate policy in the following business units: DEI Brazil, Credit Risk Management, and Commercial Asset Management (unregulated Ohio operations).3. Energy Efficiency Strategy and Policy: Developed recommendations for customer products and regulatory strategy for early stage electric vehicle adoption in Duke Energy service territory. Also examined revenue model for energy efficiency and performed research and analysis for potential strategy changes in energy efficiency revenue recovery mechanisms.4. Commercial Business Policy and Strategic Initiatives: Developed financial models for various business initiatives including coal-to-biomass conversion, gas tolling and PPA, and battery storage project.

Teamed with internal analysts and external consultants to analyze financial impact of potential climate change legislation. Analysis involved planning contingencies for fuel choice, load growth, transmission, etc. modeled through 2030 with potential revenue requirement change of $10+ billion.Formulated Excel model to facilitate lease vs. purchase decision for range of capital assets including fleet vehicles and plant components. Model discounted tax and other cash flows using variable discount rates.

Tracked existing and planned operating and financial data for U.S. power plants owned by utilities and merchant generators. Analyzed accuracy of reported data and potential for new data collection.Developed regression models to predict historical operating, maintenance, and fuel costs for U.S. power plants. Collaborated with consultants to verify model accuracy and plan modeling enhancements.
