Product Development, Marketing & Technology SpecialistIn 2004, post dot com bubble and after a 7 year apprenticeship in IT convergence, I weaved in my Commercial Music degree and founded boutique Ecommerce company Digital Animal. We built an enterprise-level marketing and retail platform for major record labels and artists, alongside customer loyalty campaigns for global brands including Nintendo, Associated News and NatWest/RBS. I won 4 UKTI Creative Industries Awards in 3 consecutive years and in 2008 was shortlisted for the O2 Arena Entrepreneur of The Year award. I became a digital evangelist and champion of interactive marketing. During 2009-11 I held responsibility for the development and rollout of online retail strategy for PIAS, Europe’s largest independent entertainment distributor. Since 2011 I’ve applied my commercial and technical experience as a business strategy and digital services architect, engineering new models for brands, technology networks, publishers and their audiences: ● Product & service development ● Market analysis, customer acquisition & CRM ● Technology platforms, software development and ‘end-to-end’ implementation ● Interactive production, information architecture, project planning & management ● Data, asset & intellectual property rights management● Ecommerce, global online retail, logistics & fulfilment ● Search engine marketing, social media and analytics● Business planning & process management ● Business development, sales and marketing

Head Of D2C E-Commerce[Pias] Jul 2010 - Sep 2011London, GbAs a former client of DA Recordings (see below), PIAS had an immediate need to develop its online retail business. I moved to PIAS as a contractor and quickly became an integrated member of the senior team with P&L responsibility for online marketing and European roll out of Direct-to-consumer (D2C) Ecommerce, working across operations, IT, business affairs, sales and finance. I worked with our label management teams in Belgium and Paris to build a multi-lingual sales and marketing platform, CRM and global logistics operation supporting both physical and digital products as well as live event ticketing. As well as numerous high-profile Ecommerce campaigns, we developed The 02’s official mobile app and installed Bluetooth proximity marketing at O2 Academy venues, incentivising fans to sign-up to artist mailing lists with the offer of instant exclusive digital content. -
