This represented both a project management and technical accomplishment as this is the first electro-mechanical actuated downhole tool to be produced by Microline.✅Project Manager and lead mechanical engineer of the Thru-Tubing Bridge Plug Setting Tool. This is the second electro-mechanical tool developed by Microline. This tool uses a mechanical linear actuator capable of producing 30,000 lbs. of tensile force over a 7-foot stroke and packaged in a 2-1/8” diameter housing. Used to set plugs in oil wells at 350 degrees F and 20,000 psi external pressure. Responsible for specifying the electric motor, gear reducer, roller screw and bearings. Housings designed to withstand the high pressure and buckling forces.
