I bring sharp strategic focus and business insight gained during over decades of Project Management, Business Development and Sub-contract Management in ElectroOptics and Subsea Technology. Most recently, I have led successful project teams including core project team and workshop in Scotland, engineering team in India, buyers distributed globally, customer in Norway and end user in Angola. As Project Manager, I led the team using a blend of face to face and virtual meetings to establish the requirements, define the product, procure material manufacture and deliver the Subsea Well Completion products. I am an engineer at heart and thrive in a team environment. My first job as a graduate engineer was in a team developing laser rangefinders, I progressed through systems engineering which continues to influence my mindset. Encouraged by an inspirational boss, I undertook an MBA, which gave me broad knowledge, including an insight into leadership. I have since led many projects in every stage of the product lifecycle. I have applied my systems engineering mindset, leadership skills and commercial nous to lead teams to • Develop high tech electro-optical avionic products from concept to manufacture and aftermarket support• Manage development of electro-optic products at suppliers • Re-launch a university spinout company to exploit an innovative display technology, identifying numerous applications and attracting interest from several industrial sectors• Deliver high value subsea oil and gas completions systems products.• Chair plant Energy Team to identify and implement energy conserving opportunities
