As the Director of Communications at The Church at Brook Hills, I oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of all internal and external communications for a thriving and vibrant multi-ethnic and multi-generational church in Birmingham, AL. With over 13 years of experience in this role, I have developed and executed effective communication campaigns that support the church's vision, values, and goals, using various platforms and media such as web, social, print, video, podcast, and live events.I am also a writer, storyteller, and story coach who specializes in the intersection of faith and storytelling. I have authored and co-authored multiple Bible studies and devotion books, as well as screenplays, sketches, poems, short stories, reviews, and sermons. I regularly perform and host live storytelling events with Arc Stories, a nonprofit organization that celebrates the art and power of storytelling. I also produce and host the Arc Stories podcast, where I feature stories from diverse and engaging storytellers. Additionally, I work with individuals and organizations to help them discover and craft their own stories, and to use them effectively for their personal and professional purposes. I am passionate about using storytelling as a tool for ministry, education, and inspiration.
