About Christopher Labanca, Mba, Cissp, Safe
I am a people-first leader that loves solving the most complex business challenges using technology, critical thinking, creativity, and data-analysis skills. I love challenging the status quo by taking calculated risks and making bold moves to transform our company. To do this successfully, you must build diverse and high-performing teams with a family-like culture passionate about designing customer-centric solutions. This has been a personal strategy I have used throughout my 20 years of leading both corporate and government technology professionals. I began my career as a network engineer troubleshooting the most complex LAN/WAN and security issues for enterprise customers. This was a great way to build a solid foundation of technical expertise before pivoting my career to IT project management. It was at this time I began studying agile software development practices, became a Certified Scrum Master, and then led an organizational change from waterfall to agile SDLC framework. A significant multi-year transformation.Hungry for a new challenge, I jumped into a mobility cybersecurity product & marketing role. It was at this time I hit the books again and became CISSP certified. It was fun working directly with the CEO of a startup company to successfully launch AT&T’s first ever mobile threat defense product. Coincidently, my military career also morphed into a cyberspace officer supporting defensive and offensive capabilities for the USAF.In my current role, I lead a high-visibility global technology transformation initiative and am responsible for aligning I.T.’s execution capabilities with the enterprise strategy. This required me to up my agile game and become SAFe 5.0 trained and certified. I enjoy building relationships with my VP+ clients and GM peers across organizations. Through teamwork and collaboration, we are realizing technology advancements & the evolving potential of our employees to improve customer experience & grow our business.
