Chris Lawrence is a Managing Director in Ankura’s Global Construction Practice based in London. He has twenty five years’ experience as a quantity surveyor and project manager in major consultancies in the United Kingdom and Australia. Chris has gained experience on major projects across all construction sectors, particularly oil and gas, nuclear, conventional and hydroelectric power plants, pipelines, major infrastructure projects including rail, highways and tunnels and major commercial and residential buildings including high rise.Since 2004, Chris has specialised in dispute resolution, acting as both the Quantum Expert Witness and assisting other Quantum Experts. He has worked on disputes in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South America.His experience as an expert witness or assisting others is extensive including giving oral and written evidence, detailed analysis of claims, forensic examination of client records, drafting expert reports, attending experts’ meetings and drafting joint statements, advising clients and solicitors on quantum issues during settlement negotiations, attending hearings in support of quantum experts and attending mediation in support of clients.Chris has undertaken the Bond Solon Expert Witness Training course and has been accredited with the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Certificate. He is a member of RICS.
