The Environmental Leadership Pathway (ELP)program provides academic enrichment, field and laboratory research experience, and teaching experience for underrepresented minority, low-income, and first-in-the-family community college students. The ultimate goal of ELP is to facilitate transition to 4-year baccalaureate programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines. Housed at UC Berkeley's College of Natural Resources, ELP is supported by the National Science Foundation and the Don Dahlsten Outreach Fund.My duties include program administration, lecturing in Environmental Science, Policy and Management courses, coordinating and managing science based internships, collaborating with other UC and area community college transfer and enrichment programs, recruiting students, budget forecasting, and development.

I supervise program development and implementation for a Department of Energy/American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funded Weatherization Assistance Program, a CommunityDevelopment Block Grant funded Healthy Homes asthma trigger mitigation and elimination program, and an Investor Owned Utility funded low income energy efficiency program. The Community Energy Services Corporation (CESC) is dedicated to building sustainable communities in the greater Bay Area through innovative and hands-on energy and building improvement programs. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and licensed general contractor, we work in partnership with cities, counties, and utilities to provide these services in underserved and vulnerable communities.

An American Cultures General Education requirement that explores and compares Native American/American Indian, Asian American, and Hispanic/Latino/Chicano American experiences and concepts of ideas about land and land management in the Western US and California. 75 students.
