After 22 years working with a tax focus in public accounting, I have transitioned my focus to providing comprehensive financial planning with SilverOak Wealth Management, LLC. After earning my Certified Financial Planner (R) designation in 2003 to further expand my knowledge base, I have been looking for a way to incorporate these skills into my daily work. Joining SilverOak provides me the opportunity to continue to utilize and build upon my tax expertise with closely held business owners and high net worth individuals to provide a more comprehensive financial service package.Many of our clients already have strong relationships with outside accountants, attorneys and insurance professionals. Part of my role is to identify and collaborate with outside professionals so that we collectively achieve outcomes that are best suited for each client's unique situation. I am fortunate to work in a profession where almost everyone I meet can benefit from our comprehensive services at some point during their lifetime. Constant change within our tax and financial systems make it more and more complex to the point that opportunities and pitfalls exist for every individual and business.
