I lead the development and data science team for Nia Advanced ML (formerly Skytree), an extremely scalable and powerful machine learning platform for data science teams, ML application developers, and enterprises. Nia is a product of Edgeverve Systems, an AI and automation software company and subsidiary of Infosys Ltd.In this role I manage a cross-functional, agile, globally distributed team of 25 engineering managers, front- and back-end developers, data scientists, UX, devops and QA. In addition to working daily with my team as a leader, coach and mentor, I collaborate closely with customers and internal partners over the entire product lifecycle and customer engagements.

I led an agile front-end engineering team for Skytree's machine learning platform. Our work included helping our users work with and visualize very large sets of data, complex transformations and relationships, and data science workflows.Technologies used include AngularJS, d3, Bokeh plots and a variety of handy tools and libraries. Built on top of a RESTful API that provides access to the machine learning platform and services build by the other amazing engineering teams at Skytree.Skytree joined Infosys in March 2017, and the Skytree software is now known as Nia Advanced ML.

As principal UI engineer at Xactly, I led several development projects and scrum teams to implement and improve features in Xactly's flagship product, Incent.* Implemented a new single-page web application architecture using Backbone.js and RequireJS within an existing product.* Implemented many new features in the product* Developed a localization framework, including authoring a jQuery plugin that makes use of HTML5 data attributes for easy localization of DOM nodes.* Investigated and introduced the following: - SASS for CSS authoring and generation - MochaJS and PhantomJS for browser and command-line unit testing - JSHint for code linting - GruntJS for automating the use of the above, as well as auto-deploying to the developer’s local server* Continuously improved the code base that I’ve been working on, rigorously applying the DRY principle while creating modules that are well-documented and easy to work with.

The application was divided into around 20 library projects and had both AIR and web (Flex/Flash Player) shells. It connected to a LiveCycle server which consolidated requests and responses to several backend systems (billing, inventory, customer management, etc).Delivered several feature releases and worked with a “hit team” dedicated to application performance. Educational Publishing (6/10-7/12)Lead UI developer for two major products: a rich eBook reader and accompanying WYSIWIG configuration tool, and a multimedia resource manager for instructors. The eBook reader could be deployed in diverse integration scenarios, including stand-alone deployments, learning management systems and educational portals (with or without an application server), on a local network, or packaged on a CD-ROM.
