The Noyce School of Applied Computing is a cross-disciplinary school comprised of three founding departments: Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Software Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The school has approximately 90 faculty, 5 staff members, and 2100 students. The Noyce School of Applied Computing is an interdisciplinary school (the first of its kind at Cal Poly) combining three departments under one umbrella — Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Software Engineering, and Computer Engineering — to create interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities for students and faculty doing applied computing.
One of my primary teaching responsibilities at Cal Poly is the continuous development of the parallel computing and high performance computing curriculum. I'm particularly interested in exposing students to the use of accelerators such as NVIDIA GPUs and Intel Xeon Phi architectures and programming models.My research interests also align with applications.
I'm an assistant professor in the Computer Engineering Program, Computer Science Department. My teaching and research areas include parallel and high performance computing, GPGPU computing, and computer architecture.
