• Demonstrated a previously unobserved photovoltaic effect in a class of organic semiconductor devices, rebuilt a glove box, and learned standard electrochemical testing practices.
• Developed and characterized several ionically functionalized polyacetylene pn-type photovoltaic devices; first observation of photovoltaic effect in these devices.
