From a central location in Switzerland 1 International team of contract managers is appointed to contract the total portfolio of accommodations (about 7000 accommodations which vary between campsites to 5* deluxe hotels all over Europe). My main contracting destinations during these 13 years for Thomas Cook brands are in Italy (Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Adriatic coast, Lakes (Garda, Como and Maggiore)), Austria (Tirol and Salzburgerland), Germany (northern part) and Holland.Working from my home based office or travelling about 10 to 14 weeks per year. Besides the individual contracts I owned the responsibility for the partnerships with chains like UNA hotels, Best Western, Steigenberger hotels, Center Parcs, Westcord, Hampshire hotels and Sandton hotels. Also camping brands like Happy Camp and Tohapi/Canvas were my responsibility for several years.
