Ambient musician, sound designer, record label owner, and software engineer. My relationship with information technology is a long and multi-hued one. In high school, I participated in the New Mexico Supercomputing Challenge, and in the process, got a chance to see and play with the coming WWW (circa '93). For roughly a decade after that, I taught myself Windows network and server administration, as well as electronic music composition. My music career morphed into an interest in web development because of my perpetual DIY spirit and desire to sell my work, and this eventually turned into a full-blown education in software engineering. I have an obsession with cutting edge technologies (and some legacy ones) and have a variety of interests not necessarily particular to but related to software engineering, including audio / video design, signal processing, real-time and interactive systems, artificial intelligence, and assisted / augmented learning.
