My role at the BHF covers a multitude of disciplines and is pivotal throughout the BHF business and technology domains. As an Enterprise Architect I am heavily involved in a number of areas:Strategic Planning: Authoring the Infrastructure roadmap for the next 5 years that includes On-Premise (VMware and Microsoft), Cloud (Azure), application, networks, both corporate and retail and placing emphasis on following written standards and principles co-written.My role bridges the gap between the organisations portfolio business units and IT functions to engage and interpret business vision and practical IT implementations, ensuring technology solutions are resource-efficient and support long-term objectives. Furthermore, my role involves overseeing the creation of IT systems that meet both business and technical requirements, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budgetLeadership and Communication: I run a team of Solution Architects and Technical Delivery Specialists to ensure project delivery and work collaboration within the business is met. IQVIA is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry where I joined a team creating the CODE project (Collaboration for Oncology Data in Europe). Instrumental in selecting Trusted Third Party data centres to create a secure infrastructure using a combination of Public and Private Cloud infrastructures to satisfy the solution within six European countries, compliant with local and EU privacy regulations.My role required the commercial contractural negociations, design, build and configuration of a multi-data centre cross border solution. In an additional project, I heavily influenced the design and configuration of deployed server infrastructure at customer sites, making use of either VMware or Hyper-V. I was accountable for complying strictly to standards including ISO9001, 14001, 27001 due to the nature of the data.

Provided ICT consultancy services to One Healthcare for their out-sourced IT contract and solution. It was my responsibliltity ensure the proposed architecture was fit for purpose for the newly built hospital. The hospital was scheduled to open within challenging budget and timeframes. Key achievements adressed included:Security Enhancements: Implemented advanced security protocols to safeguard data and protect against cyber threats.Infrastructure Architecture: Designed and optimised the infrastructure to ensure Functional and Non-Functional requirements are met, including scalability, efficiency, and robustnessBusiness Continuity: Developed and integrated comprehensive business continuity plans to maintain operations during disruptions.Disaster Recovery: Established and tested disaster recovery strategies to ensure rapid recovery and minimal downtime in case of unforeseen events. I joined KIMS hospital prior to it opening. My role evolved significantly after the hospital began operations, where I assumed the position of Head of IT. As the deputy lead on this project, I shared the responsibility for designing and implementing a new 'green field' infrastructure to support 9,000 users. Working for Amlin Insurance Services to design and project manage a migration away from the existing multi-site Active Directory and Exchange 2000 environment to a new Active Directory and Exchange 2003 environment. This consists of producing all documentation utilising Prince2 methodologies.

This role is a ‘Test and Release’ engineer based in ATLAS House. This involves testing and updating relevant documenting and various Microsoft projects towards the DII(f) MoD project.
