AppRiver is a cloud computing company that provides services such as email hosting, spam filtering, web filtering, and many others to small businesses.I was hired in 2008 as the interface designer to make the user-facing web applications look as they should, and make the interfaces work as they should.

I co-owned a small web & graphic design company with a good friend of mine, in which we designed websites for many local businesses and musicians. At one point we were able to work with a multi-million dollar international company to re-design their website, which was very well received. Most of our business came from a partnership with a local recording studio. They would sign a new artist, and then refer them to us to create the album cover design, posters, and website.My role at Eject Media was the web developer, but I was also the designer for about half of the websites we worked on. At the time none of the already made content management systems for websites were easy enough to use, nor were they flexible enough to do what we needed. So I developed a content management system from scratch for our clients to use.
