I am a medical doctor with a broad clinical experience which has complemented significant healthcare leadership experience in both public & private health care systems. As a Consultant in Public Health Governance, I have a passion for promoting anticorruption, transparency and accountability in health systems with the ultimate goal of improving access to and outcomes from high quality healthcare.I have worked on a range of initiatives aimed at strengthening health systems through improved governance, including needs-informed digital innovation for improving transparency of public health procurement, assessment of a national centralised medicines procurement system, engaging with civil society on health system transparency and accountability, and strengthening the implementation of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption. I am also undertaking doctoral studies (DrPH) within the Department of Global Health & Development of the Faculty of Public Health & Policy at LSHTM, with a specific focus on health system governance and healthcare anti-corruption.I am an alumnus of National University of Ireland, Galway, the London School of Economics, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and the BioInnovate Ireland Fellowship (Stanford Biodesign Affiliate).In my spare time, I am a keen swimmer and scuba diver. I have travelled widely, being happiest in the noisy, colourful, bustling markets of West Africa or South and South East Asia!
