I work across multiple accounts and perform vulnerability scanning analysis on several environments including Windows, Linux and AIX.I work closely with support teams to maintain/improve the security posture of the supported accounts to reduce risk in their respective environments.Responsibilities include:- Perform penetration tests as needed.- Perform analysis of the vulnerability scan results- Identify false positives and work with related vendors to improve accuracy of detection scripts.- Provide remediation recommendations- Schedule and perform scans when required- Engage relevant service delivery teams as required- Manage issues using issue tracking tools- Assist in security incident response when required- Adhere to audit compliance strategies to ensure security and business processes are part of BAU activities- Liaise with other technical areas where necessary to ensure the reported problems are resolved to customer satisfaction- Experiences with VMS products including but not limited to NeXpose and Nessus.

My first year within IBM involved working with environments that were supported by VMware. This involved the use of VMS ESX/i hosts and the careful management of the supporting infrastructure to ensure service levels were maintained for our customers.I worked with a fantastic team and was given the opportunity to undertake the VMware vSphere v5.0: Install, Configure, Manage and attempted the VCP 5 Certificaiton.
