I am currently a first year finance major studying at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I have always been skilled at making decisions, and communicating well with others. I excel when working in collaborative groups and am excellent at achieving success no matter the team. I am also a very committed person as well, and this trait became clear to me during a major hardship in my life. As a freshman in highschool I partially herniated my c7 disc in my neck and I lived with excruciating pain for almost six months. The only way to repair it was to work out my upper back to create support to alleviate the pain, and after making the decision to endure many months of hard work, I was back to my old self. The reason why this is such a profound moment in my life, is because it gave me the opportunity to be in the best shape of my life and my self esteem was the highest it ever was. This allowed me to boost my grades that I didn’t think I was capable of doing and during this time I made some of the best relationships in my life and met some of my best friends till this day. The values I’ve learned from this experience in my life have developed into my love for finance. During the pandemic I decided to start investing my own money into the stock market, and just like my past experiences my commitment and decision making strategies shaped my strong interest in financial investing. My five year plan is to graduate from Kelley and work as an investment banker back home in New York City.
