Since the inception of OptaSense in 2008 I've been developing our Linear Assets business to be a thriving commercial success - responsible for building an effective engineering and operations team who now run this day to day business. For 2015 onwards my remit now extends across the organisation to help build our newer propositions and take them forwards.

Responsible for delivery of the OptaSense Linear Asset (Infrastructure Security & Monitoring) business stream. From humble beginnings in 2008 with 4 employees to, in 2014, a 160 strong multinational enterprise. Ensuring client satisfaction with on time delivery and deployment success, managing punishing annualised growth, developing a global third party.

Chairing the first Technology Committee of FOSA to help with the wider industry aims of promoting, demystifying and developing the fiber optic sensing industry globally, with a major focus on North America.

I founded 6-Echo in 2007 as a specialist technology consultancy focused on helping companies transition from R&D through to mass deployment with a particular interest in renewable energy and sensing technologies. 6-Echo's client base was focussed on those developing high value capital asset installations and our client base covered a wide range of domains.

South West UK

Undertaking product development, technical pre sales, systems engineering and business development within the global MCM and Oceanographic community. Later leading specialist sales team focused on developing QinetiQ’s embryonic products business stream with a key focus on Maritime Security and Underwater Surveillance Sonars.Established QinetiQ as a key.

Responsible for transducer products business area and the introduction of new technologies such as PiezoComposites and a robust "art-free" design methodology.

Acoustic and transducer design expert working within a team of analogue and digital electronic specialist engineers. Developing acoustic transducers and sonar systems.

DTI Technology Transfer programme aimed at improving access to basic research for SME's. Associate with Marine Acoustics Ltd.
