Reporting to: The Managing Director Purpose: To manage a team of 10 colour retouchers responsible for the timely and efficient throughput of images supporting a £4 million turnover business in International Mail Order and Packaging. Responsibilities: · Day to day management of the retouch team. · Retouching including creative, fashion and colour critical retouching · Process evaluation and development. · Hardware and Software research, followed by appropriate recommendations for investment required to enable improved quality and workflow. · Providing Internet solutions for specific customers. · Designing and creating web sites, graphics for presentations, constructing databases to satisfy both internal and external customer requirements. Achievements · Managed the transition from Scitex based retouching to Apple Macintosh. · Specified the resource (equipment and people) and workflow for the new system. · Successfully managed the training programme to convert 10 Scitex operators to Macintosh. · Created an on-line job tracking and management tool to enable clients to book jobs in on line and manage the progress throughout production. · Designed and implemented the company's intranet system. · Advised on all IT development within the company. · Won a logo design competition for European Flexographic Technical Association
