Software Engineer

Paris, France, Fr

Worked on a variety of projects across the US in the Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance sectors ranging from data science and application development to financial modeling and Guidewire integration. Here are a few highlights of projects I have worked on so far:• Full Stack developer at a top Insurance Brokerage. Built a large scale finance application to manage producer compensation. The ASP.NET MVC app utilizes the KendoUI framework, SQL Server 2014 and SSRS to give users a full range of reporting and data management capabilities.• Strategically designed, developed, and implemented the UI/UX web application for client-facing and leadership demonstration. Using Agile and SCRUM development principles coordinated in Git, the application met the project goals. By utilizing JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, D3, and Materialize on the front-end paired with a REST API to store large amounts of mock customer demo data, I was able to exceed the project time goals. Thus allowing for a beautiful, interactive, and lightweight UI/UX to show potential clients. • Developed a demo graph database using Neo4j to illustrate to a major Health Insurance company the advantages of a graph database over a SQL database to combat healthcare related fraud.• Solely responsible for developing a SOAP API to automatically send information to a vendor anytime an auto insurance claim occurs where a 3rd party bodily injury is present for a major P&C Insurer. Using Java and Gosu the API is integrated into the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform. Prior to this project I had no experience with Java but was able to quickly learn enough syntax from viewing the clients code base to complete the project in a timely manner.

Software Developer

Nashville, Tennessee, Us

Nashville Software School is a full-time, immersive learning environment where I gained immense experience working in Javascript and C#. In the first half, we achieved a mastery of the fundamentals of Javascript; IIFE and dependency injection with Browserify; front-end design frameworks with Bootstrap and Materialize, templating with Handlebars; and MVC frameworks with AngularJS.The last half of my experience at Nashville Software School was a mock workplace. Working with a team of five developers we used the Scrum method to build a series of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET core applications. The projects included building APIs, a server-generated e-commerce website using ASP.NET MVC, CLI applications to handle customer issues and generate financial reports. Through a series of self-directed learning and group projects I was able to design and build two Capstone projects during the course of the program. This experience, along with contributing to various open-source GitHub projects, has given me the knowledge to successfully work with Bug Bounty projects in my spare time.
