About Christopher Stevenson

My engineering skills began when I was three years old and took the screen door apart with my plastic screwdriver, which of course fell on top of me. Throughout my childhood, anything that broke in our house was given to me, I would break it down to the tiniest of parts, and sometimes even repair to the amazement of my parents. This inner intuitiveness drives what I have done as an engineer.I am happy being in groups. My wife says I need to be the center of attention at gatherings but truly I am just comfortable around everyone. I can always find at least one thing in common with anyone, breaking the ice and opening a window to create a bond. This serves me well in my career allowing me to gain the respect of corporate office and field employees.I am an approachable manager with extensive leadership, project management, engineering, operations, and business planning experience in domestic oil and gas.I have a devotion to guide technical and operations staff through question-based management as an intuitive, analytical leader with hands-on, consultative approach. I possess the ability to build cross-functional relationships as effective collaborator, communicator, and resourceful decision-maker.I am an instinctive engineer always searching for improvements to the bottom line through analysis of data, projects and operations with a thirst for learning new processes, equipment, systems, and software. As my first managerial role, I was tasked as Interim Area Superintendent for DJ Basin to return morale to field office, improve daily operations, set a standard of high performance and safety by empowering supervisors and subordinates. After a successful four months, I returned to the corporate office and was promoted to Production Manager. The O&G industry cyclicals between ups and downs. It is during the downtimes when choosing the correct cost cutting measures count the most. I have honed these skills over the years to achieve the highest cost cuts with the least impact on production.A Listing of my core competencies includes:• Leadership and Team Building• Staff Development and Mentoring• Cost Control, Reduction, Capital• Contract Negotiations• Regulatory Compliance• Operations Management• Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting• Project Management• Quantitative and Qualitative Engineering Analysis• Champion High Safety StandardsAvailable to discuss new opportunities in the Denver Metropolitan Area, please contact me at chrispy1620@gmail.com
