About Chris Stolz, P.E.

My career passion is to support the integration of Renewable Energy assists into the electric grid. I have a great role currently with Pine Gate Renewables where I am performing that function, providing technical expertise in evaluating interconnection needs for proposed solar facilities throughout the country. My role requires both understanding of interconnection procedures through all markets in the country and using powerflow analysis (PSSE) to support capacity output for specific sites.Previous to current role, I worked at Duke Energy and General Electric Corporation. My time at Duke was split between working as a Design Engineer in their Regulated Renewables business and a Support Engineer at their Energy Control Center. These roles helped me understand both plant specific needs and how to address daily operation concerns on the grid. At GE, I was able to work in various technical departments related to Smart Grid technology and in their EPC function supporting Utilities, gaining a broad industry knowledge.I both an MSECE and BSEE from Georgia Tech, with a focus in Power System Engineering. I also have a minor in Engineering and Management from the Denning Technology & Management program. If you have a specific questions about my profile or would just like to network and discuss Renewable Energy related topics, please reach out!
