Manages the multiple WordPress development pipelines and the usability of five web properties for State Employees Credit Union of Maryland.

The Product Owner for the Marketing website is the point person for most all things related to the development of the site. Responsibilities run the gamut from monitoring site health to implementing marketing campaigns to analyzing usage data to extensive roadmap planning and managing the relationship with shared development resources within a consortium group. Initially the job title was "Website Developer" due to how much hands-on front-end development is required as well.

Promoted to direct another developer, outsourced efforts, and help lead project teams. My dev role was primarily backend, but I also worked on projects as a full-stack WordPress developer as needed.

On a daily basis I did everything ranging from maintenance of legacy sites, to research and proposal writing for new work, to full-stack development of custom WordPress sites. That included database migrations, custom data imports, PHP theme development, responsive CSS styling, and custom JQuery development.

Managed the day-to-day site operations of a 2M + visitor website. These duties included Google Analytics reporting, content recommendations, on-the-fly changes, content maintenance, and some light development. Helped lead two Drupal developments for the same site - 6.0 and 7.0 re-vamp. The first included a page-by-page analysis of the legacy site to determine strengths and weaknesses prior to making recommendations. The second included another analysis of our own site to help shed unnecessary overhead.Other job duties include AS2 & 3 Flash, light Drupal development, moderate PHP work, light Photoshop, development plan recommendations, light proposal and document writing, iPhone site development, and whatever else came along.Brands touched include: Smart Balance, Wall Street Journal, Hair Cuttery, Consumer Electronics Show, Polk Audio, Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, Market Watch, University of Maryland University College, and Genesis Healthcare.

Lead ActionScript developer for one of Verizon's internal multi-media agencies where I also worked with Project Managers to scope work.Selected projects include: development of an interactive kiosk with service pre-qualification capabilities, the Flash for investor.verizon.com, as well as oversight and development of more than a dozen SCORM-compliant Flash training courses.As lead I was responsible for interviewing and hiring additional developers. At project peaks I was responsible for tasking up to three other developers.

Upgraded and reprogrammed stand-alone Flash games for play in a single content aggregation "experience."

Developed the re-usable framework for synchronizing videos to animated presentations (based on PowerPoint).

Developed several XML widgets and video interactions for www.geicogarage.com.

Lead the growth of the www.usni.org Web site from just over 500,000 unique visitors in 2000 to nearly 1 million in 2004 (about 989,000) with Flash pieces linked to news stories and stored in the Yahoo! Search Directory. More than 160,000 unique visitors entered the site through pages I researched, wrote, developed, and promoted.Began the "Web Enhanced Naval History" initiative for Naval History magazine in 2004, adding interactive content to be viewed in conjunction with the printed magazine.Oversaw 2 iterations of site redesign. The current site was executed after my tenure.Managed credited internship programs with the Art Institute of Washington and University of Maryland Baltimore County, where I tasked, taught, managed, and graded five interns simultaneously.
