When I graduated from high school, I was driven to go explore the world any way I could. Coming from a tiny town with a class of 16 people, the only path I knew was joining the military. While I was in the Air Force, I studied tae kwon do, eventually getting my black belt. Back in civilian life, I worked at a local fiberglass factory, and then went to college, getting B.S. degrees in chemical engineering and physics, and an M.S. in environmental science. I worked as a technical sales representative in the paper industry with 7, 8, and 9-figure accounts. For a while, I taught high school, and even started a charter high school. I then focused on building my publishing company where I focused on customer acquisition, qualifying prospects, cold calling, customer relationship management, lead generation, and consultative selling.
