As a musician, I am in multiple instruments (voice, fiddle, banjo, guitar, upright bass, ukulele) and in multiple traditions (jazz, blues, folk, country, bluegrass, cajun, old time, swedish gammaldans) and the songs, histories, and stories that come with those traditions. I also write and perform my own original compositions with my touring group, Bumper.

• Conducted field experiments studying the cognitive development of young children using touch screen technology, as well as qualitative measures to determine how children attributed agency to the computers they were.
• Trained and supervised a staff of undergraduate and graduate research assistants in experimental procedures, data management, and Institutional Review Board protocols.
