About Chris Packard
My belief is that “A nonprofit organization should operate with the efficiency and effectiveness of a Costco and the heart of Mother Teresa.” The nonprofit sector needs organizational leadership. Leaders who lead by example, collaborate with a wide variety of other organizations and stakeholders, and assist area nonprofits in maximizing their impact. My record of accomplishment proves that I am that kind of leader. My qualifications include extensive nonprofit and for-profit executive-level leadership experience, through which I have honed my skills in assessing situations, developing strategic plans, implementing changes, developing consistency in operations, effectively managing staff, and achieving fiscal stability. I also have extensive experience in collaborating with corporate staff and nonprofit peers toward the accomplishment of common goals. In the nonprofit sector, I have served as an executive director, as well as both paid and volunteer consultant, and served on numerous nonprofit boards. My board work includes key positions as the board chair, treasurer, grant committee member and special events chair. In my executive director positions, the agencies I led achieved record revenues and funds for their community services. As a business owner in the for-profit arena, I was a recognized leader and considered one of the “best of the best” in the McDonald’s system during my many years as a franchisee. I turned around grossly under-performing units, which resulted in higher-than-market-average revenue and cash flow. My involvement in the community generated numerous awards and recognition.
Listed skills include Management, Strategic Planning, Nonprofits, Public Speaking, and 17 others.
