Chris began his homebuilding career in 1995 as a Homeowner Service Manager with Pulte Homes Corporation in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets. He advanced with Pulte to the position of Customer Service Manager, responsible for the implementing and managing the centralized homeowner service call center and all aspects of the customer service department operations, including staffing, budgeting, cost management, and subcontractor quality process before joining Washington Homes, Inc. in 1999.At Washington Homes, Inc., a developer/builder of single family, townhome, and condominium communities in the Washington metropolitan area, Chris was an Assistant Purchasing Manager advancing to the position of Purchasing Manager. Following the acquisition of Washington Homes by K. Hovnanian Companies, he continued to advance holding positions including Senior Purchasing Manager and Virginia Division Director of Quality.From 2009 to June of 2014, Chris held the position of Group Director of Purchasing for K. Hovnanian Companies’ Landover Group. He directed the centralized purchasing processes throughout their divisions in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. He managed a team of 16 and was responsible for cost management; scopes of work and specifications; facilitating the implementation of national contracts; vendor solicitation and pre-qualification; contract bidding, negotiation and award of regional and group programs; vendor performance feedback and monitoring; dispute resolution; and vendor management for over 2,000 homes annually.In June 2014 Chris joined SeaGate Homes LLC.
