Christopher Pell serves as an Associate for JB&B FieldTM, with a focus on commissioning services. He joined the firm in 2016 after several years in oilfield operations. He has since garnered experience in the commissioning of new and existing buildings, including commercial office, life sciene, healthcare, data center and LEED green building projects. Mr. Pell has extensive experience in commercial buildings and managing the day-to-day commissioning activities on projects such as Moynihan Train Hall Phase 3, One Madison Avenue, Dock 72 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and the 2.8 million sq.ft. 3 World Trade Center. He also has experience in healthcare facilities, including the Brooklyn Health Center, North Shore University Hospital and the HSS Sports Medicine Institute West Side. He is responsible for the commissioning of the life sciences repositioning of 125 West End Avenue and has also managed commissioning of several infrastructure projects, among them 399 Park Avenue and the 270 Park Avenue East Side Access Rebuild.As a member of the project team for the SUNY Old Westbury Alternate Care Facility, Mr. Pell was instrumental in managing the onsite field services and design coordination during the one-month design-build in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Also in response to the pandemic, he has managed JB&B’s indoor air quality (IAQ) service offering at many locations throughout the New York metro area.Mr. Pell holds a Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah and is a certified Associate Commissioning Professional with the Building Commissioning Certification Board. In 2020, Mr. Pell was recognized as a top building commissioning professional by the Building Commissioning Association’s 20 Under 40 program.
