Responsible for assessing and decisioning commercial and consumer credit applications using judgmental credit processes, adhering to BEN's Risk Appetite and Credit Risk Policy framework. I strive to use my experience and expertise to deliver commercial outcomes on these applications that keep the end customer outcome as central to all decisions. Central to this role is my ability to proactively engage with and up-skill bankers and other key stakeholders via a mixture of on-the-job learning, transaction workshopping, one-on-one training sessions, and group presentations. I also play a key role in the design, delivery and implementation of blended formal learning programs for front-line commercial bankers.

Responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team of approximately 40 staff including credit analysts, team leaders, and industry specialists; managing the business performance and operational work flows of the division to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements; and partnering with key credit and business executives within ANZ to deliver process improvement initiatives that improve the overall customer and banker experience at ANZ.Key achievements include forming a national credit team in February 2016 to provide a dedicated function to conduct end-to-end credit analysis reviews of commercial clients. This resulted in the utilization of the division for completing these increasing from 50% in October 2015 to 85% by March 2017. Also, in February 2017 we integrated ANZ’s Northern Territory (NT) Regional Business Bank portfolio into the South Australia team. We received positive feedback from the NT Regional Executive and the SA State General Manager for our professional approach and excellent service standards.

Key responsibilities included establishing and managing a team of 80 recovery specialists across three states (Victoria, NSW and Queensland), who were tasked with managing a portfolio of approximately 1,900 high-risk small business customers, with the primary objective to recover monies owed to ANZ. I controlled an annual expense budget of circa. $8M with an annual cost reduction target of approximately 6-7%.One of my key achievements was the integration of an early stage contact centre function (circa. 25 staff) to provide an end-to-end customer service proposition.

Leading a team of 4-5 credit analysts responsible for the development and implementation of workout / recovery strategies for complex corporate customers.In addition to my customer portfolio role, key achievements included mentoring and coaching graduates and analysts from ANZ’s Risk division; and developing a strong retail industry focus which saw me being nominated to attend the 2008 Westfield World Retail Study tour.
