I believe in the power of technology and its ability to help achieve almost any business goal or solve any business roadblock. My career has been shaped by an insatiable curiosity and constant desire to learn. Having the knowledge and ability to make a difference using my skill set has been very satisfying. I am grateful that my chosen path has led me to where I'm at today. Early on, I started out in the financial markets working on a equity/bond trading desk before embracing my love of programming and technology. I've worn many hats in my career. In the beginning, I built many websites front to back for some major players in the outdoor industry, including JacksonHole.com and TheCanyons.com . I've spent years in backend web development using PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS & JavaScript. I'm very capable in all aspects of the digital space including LINUX server admin, UI/UX design, analytics, system architecture/design and E-commerce. I’m comfortable on the Linux command line, using GIT and have very extensive knowledge developing with Wordpress and WooCommerce. I have a self-driven work ethic that tends to make me proactive more often than reactive to company initiatives. I love to champion ideas of others and see them to completion, plus offer my own ideas when I can. It’s become a passion of mine to find bottlenecks in the sales process, eliminate inefficiencies in work flow and automate repetitive tasks that waste an employee’s talent and skills. I'm often labeled a geek and relish the title. I want to know how things work not just what it does. If I’m intrigued by something I learn how to do it or build it. I enjoy building robotic vehicles out of other peoples discarded items, using a Raspberry Pi, servos, motors, sensors and cameras. I build my own furniture, upcycle what others have thrown away, always curious and learning, play the banjo, rock climb, ski, mountain bike and spend time with my family.
