The holding company, Royal Numico is best known by it's brand names in the baby food sector: Cow and Gate and Milupa. It also has an important Clinical Nutrition business. Reporting to Divisional MD's, mine was a commercial, business partner role with responsibility for manufacturing, sales and research sites in the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic countries.

Infineum is a global Joint Venture between ExxonMobil and Shell with interests in the UK, USA, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Brazil, Japan. I was part of the start-up team which helped create the business and then I was responsible for a number of change management programmes with an emphasis on people development and resourcing; moving to a business partner role with a brief of the UK, Germany, Belgium, and the NL.

Exxon is one of the largest and most successful integrated oil and chemical companies. I held a number of HR roles within Exxon Chemical including support for Research and Development, Sales and Marketing, and the international European businesses when I was based in Brussels. In these roles I was responsible for the full range of HR provision including reward, performance management, people development, employee relations, M&A work, career development initiatives etc.

I was based at Llanwern, a large integrated steel works near Newport in South Wales. I had a number of specialist HR roles across the site.
