Scrum Master on the Willis GenASys Affinity project facilitating the improvement of the development team, ensuring that daily stand-ups are held, removing impediments, helping with planning future releases and sprints.Working with stakeholders, product owners, project managers and team leads to confirm that priorities are correct, stories are understood and expectations are being met.Involved in implementing a new set of ALM tools including Team Foundation Server 2013 and Release Management and ensuring that these fit around the existing SCRUM process resulting in a cost saving of ~2 full time employees to this project alone.

Lead Developer on the Willis GenASys Affinity release 2 project, a product that manages Willis international affinity insurance products, responsible for managing the workload of an offshore team of up to 12 developers in Manila, producing detailed design documents for over 150 pages of functional specifications, running demonstrations of delivered functionality to the programme, deployment and configuration of two brand new clustered and load balanced DMZ environments, support of QA and UAT testing including defect triage, and creation / maintenance of a technical debt log. Involved in configuration of TFS2012 build services and introducing various other aspects of the ALM to the team including automating code review requests and automating deployment via Web Deploy.Technologies for the application include ASP.NET (C# 5.0), MVC 4, Twitter Bootstrap, SQL Server, Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, WCF, Windows Workflow Foundation and AutoFac.

Creation of a data reconciliation app to take data from the BP Connect GSS point of sale, calculate totals based on a variety of input categories and settings and produce a Sage compatible CSV file.The system uses technologies such as WPF, C# (.NET 4) and XML, has been running sucessfully for nearly 12 months at one BP Service Station (saving over 25 man hours per week) and has gathered interest from various other Service Stations running the BP Connect franchise program.

• Creation of Mobile Portfolio iPhone application to enable clients to view their portfolio on the move in near real-time.• Design and development of internal business support applications in a strict compliance financial environment.• Creation of both ad-hoc and permanent management intelligence reports, and produced OLAP cubes of core data received from securities firms using MS Business Intelligence Studio.• Management of data transfer between Killik & Co and securities firms.• Expansion of task automation tools using C# and XML.• Development of a bulk mailing system to enable business support staff to email clients in bulk based on various criteria such as holdings, risk or broker.• Creation of an XML Queuing System to facilitate changes to client data to be queue up ready to be sent in batch to the securities firms.

• Development of MTNI (MPLS Tactical Network Inventory) - a web based (ASP, C#, SQL Server) network inventory system that manages equipment on the MPLS rest of world network and assigns ports based on planning algorithms. The system interfaces with many other BT MPLS systems and generates reports.• Design and development of an XML Web Service (C#) as an extension to MTNI in order to handle allocations from order handling systems without the need for operators re-keying information. The system implemented a custom transaction and handshaking system to ensure resources were not used without both sending and receiving system acknowledgement.• Supporting component, regression and end-to-end testing, managing defects and patches.• Ongoing data cleansing and rule refinement.

• Working closely with the accounts department to create a CallScripter Billing Module in .NET, gathering data from a variety of sources through SQL Server to produce .PDF invoices and exporting data to Sage for reconciliation.• Development of the CallScripter Diary System in .NET to allow call centre agents to book appointments for clients using a variety of allocated slot times.• Development of the CallScripter Web Reporting System to enable clients to obtain a view of call data for their campaigns. This allows the client to log in to the system via a web interface and display data through text and graphical means. This was achieved using .NET, ASP and JavaScript.• Designed and authored the company’s corporate websites, and created a range of leaflets, CDs and glossy folders to promote the product.• Advised and assisted new and existing clients on all aspects of the CallScripter product, provided technical support and visited on-site to perform installations and upgrades.
