About Chris Potter

I’m a qualified accountant, with both executive and non-executive board level experience. I was an audit partner at PwC, where I was on the board of PwC’s Polish delivery centre (roughly 2,000 employees) and also attended and presented at many audit committee meetings at my audit clients. I have specialist skills in managing technology risk and cyber security, and the audit of internal controls - at PwC, I advised many boards on these topics, including some of the UK’s largest financial services providers. I retired from PwC in July 2021, and have since taken on a portfolio of non-executive roles (on boards, audit or risk committees). I’m a trustee and the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee for the Royal Institution of Great Britain, and a non-executive director of the Buckinghamshire Building Society. I’m a visiting senior lecturer for Royal Holloway, University of London. For nine years I focused on the digital transformation of PwC’s audits, overseeing the firm’s technology and offshoring activities, including representing the UK on relevant global governance bodies. I’m using this experience in my role as a strategic advisor for Inflo, the audit technology provider.Particular areas of expertise:- Non-executive governance- Audit of internal control and IT systems- Financial services sector knowledge- Technology risk and cyber security- Digital transformation - Governance of offshore delivery centres- Leadership and people management
