Humentum unlocks the strategic value of operating models in the NGO sector. We center our approach around equity, resilience and accountability. I co-led the merger process that resulted in Humentum being founded in July 2017 to bring three successful organizations (formerly InsideNGO, Mango, and LINGOs) together. We are dedicated to strengthening operational teams and fostering leadership in the global humanitarian & development community.My team is focused on growing our reach and impact. We lead Humentum's marketing, client relations, client delivery and product development for our training and consulting services. We are also innovating with learning and capacity building in the social sector to drive effectiveness at scale with learning programs that are accessible and affordable. Our emphasis is on identifying the appropriate pedagogical and business models for sector-wide learning that will build thriving and effective organizations at the global, national, and local levels.

The LINGOs vision is that everyone working to improve lives and communities in the developing world has the skills to make a positive impact. For over ten years, we have built dozens of private sector partnerships, engaged hundreds of volunteers and built a community of over 80 of the leading international development organizations in order to deliver content, tools, credentials and best practices to scale the reach, impact, and effectiveness of a wide variety of learning programs to a global community of development, relief, and conservation professionals.While CEO of LINGOs, we increased the reach scale of our programs for those people doing the hardest work in the hardest to reach places. As part of our growth strategy, we increased our members by 35%, doubled the numbers of learners for all of our programs, increased revenue by over 60% and closed over $3mm in new grants, contracts, and projects for online capacity building projects.As CEO, I was also one of the lead architects of our merger with Mango and InsideNGO to become Humentum in July 2017. This strategic merger will provide us an even larger platform for strategic impact.

As CEO of eCornell, an online education company owned by Cornell University, I have focused on leading the development of its product and market strategy, during which time, the company has experienced nearly a 10x increase in revenue and has been consistently profitable in the rapidly changing online higher education market.I have worked closely with Cornell's senior leadership on planning and implementing Cornell's broader online education strategy and advocating for the use of online education to expand the University's impact on the broader world.eCornell's vision is to be the best provider of online learning experiences that empower individuals to innovate in their career, company, or community. As COO, I was responsible for ensuring alignment between product development and marketing. Developed rigorous criteria for assessing the market potential for new online certificate programs to ensure that new programs met our ROI and payback period benchmarks. Worked closely with other senior management and board members on a new business and staffing plan for the organization to ensure long term sustainability.

Directed disciplinary teams in the development of eCornell's inaugural certificate programs in human resources and hospitality management. Established processes for on-time and on-budget delivery of new products. Responsible for negotiating new product development agreements with university administrators and faculty. Collaborated with marketing team to assess demand for potential new programs. Scaled product catalog from 0 to 60 courses across ten different certificate programs in just under three years.

Served two-year elected term on Ithaca's Common Council. Chaired the City Administration committee where I led the effort to reform the City's budget review process. Co-facilitated a new strategic planning process for the City among elected officials, appointed leadership, and the Mayor. Served as Council liaison to the Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency. Primary focus was on issues of strategic planning, government effectiveness, economic development, affordable housing, and financial sustainability.Ithaca NY, the home of Cornell University and the cultural, recreational, and economic hub of New York’s Finger Lakes Region—surrounded by lakes, hills, amazing waterfalls, small farms, and wineries. During my tenure as Board President, FLLT expanded the size of its board, implemented a new strategic plan, launched its first ever region-wide capital campaign, and completed its first ever million dollar land acquisition project.The Finger Lakes Land Trust was founded in 1989 to protect those lands that define the character of the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. To date, the Land Trust has protected more than 15,000 acres of the region's wetlands, forests, farmland, shorelines, and gorges. This has been accomplished through the establishment of nature preserves that are open to the public for quiet recreation, the use of conservation easements (voluntary agreements on private lands), and the provision of technical assistance and educational programs to local governments, landowners, and the public.The Land Trust is a nonprofit organization supported primarily by membership donations, grants from private foundations, state and federal agencies.

Founded and co-led an internet design consultancy focused on learning and decision support systems. International corporate and non-profit clients in manufacturing, financial services, environmental education and advocacy, and healthcare with projects in the US, Argentina, Italy, Brazil and elsewhere. Served as the primary project director and learning experience designer as well as serving as the relationship manager to client executive sponsors.

Served as primary project director and team lead on corporate learning projects to design and development technology-based training in the IT and ERP system space. Completed nearly a dozen mission-critical training applications for system launches leading up to the Y2K transition for clients such as Marriott, Xerox, Citi, Goldman Sachs, and Travelers. Managed a team of instructional designers, project managers, software developers, and quality assurance specialists. Provided sales support and was the key lead in landing the company's first web-based project with Citi. Experience in working with client teams in the UK and Brazil.

Participated in the management team responsible for opening six new Discovery Zone retail outlets in the Boston area in just under two years. Served as General Manager of one location. Provided training and on-site support for each new location during the company's rapid growth. Core areas of focus including hiring, training, facility management, financial management, and food service operations.
