- Communication with other depots and Client either directly or through account managers regarding deliveries into and out of home depot.- Monitoring performance of drivers by ISOTRAK global positioning system, including setup of new ring fences/data.- Liaison with Fleet, Sortation, Key account managers and operations up to Director Levels to co-ordinate capability level network can sustain when advising clients of schedule bookings, or when devising contingency plan when operation cannot sustain volumes due to weather conditions/resource availability on a day to day basis.- Creation/modification of daily plan for deliveries for all southern 1man routes to maximise trailer fill and beneficial geographical use. Including daily monitoring of low trailer volume levels for indication of clients which require re-evaluation by designated account manager to maximise cost benefits.- Producing Weekly Collection summary report for finance indicating complete overview of client collections achieved for southern area of the network. Production of individual forecast schedules for clients to pre-advise schedules and collection times to maintain close co-ordination and enable point of contact should issues arise.- Present volumes of collections for southern planning coverage: Pre peak: 850-900 client collections per week Peak: 1000-1500 client collections per week- Weekly conference calls (participating internal planning, chairing key client weekly forecast(Tesco)) enabling suggestions /concerns/changes based on sales, schedule modifications to be actioned to enable benefits/eliminate issues.- Enable opportunities to generate cost benefit, through optimising schedules on location, trailer fills, and driver working time scheduling.

- Monitoring service and maintanence of company fleet equipment (both unit and trailers) to ensure ‘O’ licence compliance is maintained and within VOSA legislation. - Allocation of work to internal fleet engineers and 3rd party contractors to enable all repairs and maintenance is carried out in a prompt and timely manner. - QA inspection of work carried out to ensure where high cost of repair is advised, suitable levels of repair have been undertaken and are required. Liaison with Chargehand to ensure reported repairs are satisfactory.- Creation of yearly maintenance plans, weekly cycles of servicing, and ensuring all overdue equipement is notified to operation as unusable. Internal audits maintained to ensure all paperwork on Vehicle History Files (VHFs) are available/up to date.- Liasing with senior members of fleet and operation with a view to increase/decrease fleet levels in line with operational requirements. Including monthy overview meetings. - Tasked with MPG performance monitoring during role to ensure SafEd training levels undertaken were providing benefits.- Moved monitoring of vehicle repair /accident damage investigation into fleet resourcing to enable closer reaction to damage reporting with a view to producing month on month cost reduction. From 2007 to 2009 fleet cost reduction was reduced from 900k year on year damage to 525k (target 499k) at time of movement to new position. With cost reductions made from querying costs generated through 3rd party work (hours/work ratio), and hire kit repair monitoring, alongside visible accident awareness information.- Present volumes of collections for southern planning coverage: Pre peak: 267 vehicles (146 south) 1250 trailers (700 southern) prior to reductions 2008 Peak: increased fleet by 60 additional vehicles, 150 additional trailers
