Until recently, I was Senior Recruiter (and Project/Client Manager) at Ethan Partners! Ethan Partners is a Global Exec Search firm providing Exec Search, Specialist Recruitment and Global Expansion Recruitment to start-ups and scale ups. I specialised in senior roles in the C-Suite, working on roles such as CTO, CPO, COO, CEO, MD, as well as roles at a VP/Head of/Director and middle management level (manager, lead).Over the years I learned a lot, failed a lot, became a dependable core part of the team and was known to deliver on complex projects. I owned the entire life cycle of searches, from bringing on new clients, to defining requirements, sourcing and overseeing the work of my project team, from initial assessments and conversations with candidates thru to offer stage!

At Outsell, we ensure executives make the right strategic decisions and increase revenue through expert advisory, groundbreaking research, peer-to-peer events, and exclusive online communities. I was hired as a Business Development Rep to spread awareness about new services at Outsell. I did the initial outreach to prospects and set up meetings for my manager.

From March 2015 until February 2016, I lived in Guayaquil, Ecuador, to be with family and to learn Spanish at an advanced level.

I was a sales intern at Salesforce, helping my team of Business Development Representatives do better outreach to get in touch with key decision makers at existing customers for potential upsell opportunities. Learned the art of sales research, strategic sales, sales as a numbers game, sales funnels the world of AEs, SDRs, BDRs, upselling in SaaS / PaaS. Also got the chance to navigate through a larger corporate culture, which was one of the bigger challenges for me.

While on the search for meaning, for friends, for something to light the fire in my belly, I joined DSP, a "business fraternity". This was one of the best decisions I made during my time at Chico State. I joined and became obsessed with working and improving, in my first role focused on Alumni Relations. Eventually, this impacted everything from finance, to passive recruitment + getting my brothers job opportunities. I got a spread sheet with 1000+ names of our alumnus. I would call alumni brothers at ungodly hours (for a college student), e.g. in the evenings when I should be getting drunk, early on a Saturday morning when I should be hung over, catching up with alumni, reconnecting people, connecting alumnus with active members for mentorship, job opportunities, organizing "visits / business tours" to Lund Family Farms and Workday. I established the 2nd legitimate stream for $$ via donations. I identified alumni sponsors and got checks for ~$5,000 to finance a trip for ~7 people to travel to Seattle for the big national congress for our fraternity. This was the second time in my life I took a blank slate and made something out of nothing. The thing that makes me most proud is the fact I helped a few of my fraternal brothers get jobs from alumni who I "rekindled" relationships with. I was elected as the "Collegian of the Year" in my group for my dedication, and for the impact I made, which was kinda cool. I got involved in a bunch of stuff and went from Alumni Relations to become "2nd in command", basically I ran recruitment efforts, and brought a group of awesome people together to recruit the largest number of new members we had seen in over 4 years. As Steve Jobs said in his commencement speech, you can never connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backward. When looking back and connecting the dots, I see this as the foundation of my love for serendipity, connecting people together, and my love recruitment.

At River Partners, I worked on signing the largest number of registered teams (groups of two or more) in event history for our annual fundraiser. It was a teamEffort! Specialized in community outreach and basically selling tickets for the event to local businesses, organisations and individuals.

I was an Advertising Sales Representative for our school's student run newspaper. For this position, I was responsible for bringing in $8,000 in sales, was ranked 3rd out of 13 new advertising reps at the end of the semester.
